Liver fibrosis is a consequence of chronic damage. According to WHO, about 59% of mortality is due to chronic diseases. In part, liver disease ranked as the 5th most common cause of death.
Until now, biopsy is still considered the most accurate way of evaluating the degree of fibrosis. However, this method reveals a few limitations also complications. Non-invasive methods are being researched, and among them, ARFI technique has shown its superiority.
CarePlus International Clinic already applies ARFI ultrasound technology to measure liver fibrosis. It is possible to diagnose and develop a reasonable and effective treatment regimen for patients.
Cirrhosis is a consequence of chronic damage that progresses to cirrhosis and eventually liver cancer. Assessment of degree of liver is important in predicting and indicating treatment methods.
Normal liver and Liver fibrosis
According to the Metavir scale, there are 4 stages including:
Grade 1: the liver begins to inflammation the damage is not significant and can be restored.
Grade 2: scar tissue appears more, portal hypertension, the liver begins to damage more.
Grade 3: fibrous tissue appears much in the liver, fatigue, pallor, anemia, liver pain, severely impaired liver function ...
Grade 4: most serious because fibrous tissue has completely replaced liver cells, leading to severe liver failure, manifested by ascites cirrhosis, weight loss, anemia, severe jaundice ...
In particular, the early stages of the disease often have no specific and obvious symptoms. Failure to do regular health screening can lead to dangerous complications.
The outstanding roles of ultrasound machine integrated ARFI that last techniques have not met:
It is a non-invasive elastic ultrasound technique, helping to minimize unwanted effects such as bleeding, pain after the biopsy.
Accurate diagnosis of cirrhosis. Because cirrhosis progress through 4 stages, so it is important to know exactly what level it is.
Hepatic ARFI simultaneously performed both abdominal ultrasound and tissue elasticity measurement, performed in obese patients, patients with thick abdominal walls, with abdominal fluid (the subjects that Fibro scans do not actually currently available)
Simple, quick (only takes about 5 minutes) secure both the patient and doctor
Does not cause any adverse reactions to the body
CarePlus International Clinic already applies ARFI ultrasound technology to measure liver fibrosis.
The diagnosis of cirrhosis by ARFI technology helps to accurately predict, effectively monitor the treatment and detect liver cancer early.

CarePlus has built 2 packages of specialized screening of liver diseases including:
· Screening packages for hepatitis B, C and liver diseases
· Screening for complications of hepatitis B, C and liver diseases
In particular, the liver disease screening package for hepatitis B, C and liver diseases using ARFI ultrasound technology is trusted and appreciated by the American Hepatobiliary Association as well as Europe with its accuracy. up to 80% by the gold standard, can accurately diagnose the stage of acquired cirrhosis.
