5 reasons why your hard work is not better than exercise

It is a common fact that many people with high blood fat, high blood pressure, and other cardiovascular diseases, when examined and advised by a doctor to exercise more and do sports, all respond as follows:: "Oh my god, I walk a lot the day I work, I carry a lot of doctors, I work hard, not sedentary!".

5 reasons why your hard work is not better than exercise

Physical activity during exercise and at work has different effects on cardiovascular health. It's a well-known paradox: proper training is excellent, but too much practice is bad for the heart.

The following five reasons :

  1. The job is often low-intensity or long-term. It is necessary to exercise with high intensity (60-70% of maximum exertion) quickly (60 minutes). At the same time, the jobs are usually long or low power (30-35%).
  2.  Work often increases the heart rate for a long time due to stress, time pressure, and insufficient and reasonable rest. During exercise, your heart rate will increase during activity and usually return to normal quickly after a break.
  3. Jobs that have to lift a lot of weight or sit in one place will increase blood pressure on average over 24 hours. Weight training will increase blood pressure during exercise but will return to normal very quickly when resting.
  4. Work with little rest time or heavy exercise. The difference that helps improve cardiovascular health is the time to rest when exercising, which helps to increase metabolism, increase muscle mass, and repair micro-injuries. Conversely, working or exercising without rest will put the body into a state of severe damage without recovering in time.
  5. The working environment often has many adverse factors for health, such as stuffy air in the office, working in the sun, dust pollution, water loss through sweat, noise, etc. Utterly different from fresh air, training aids, relaxing atmosphere when exercising.

Therefore, the problem is not that you are sedentary, but that the type of exercise and unreasonable exercise environment make your cardiovascular risk very high, even though you are tired every day.

Let's start exercising to improve your health!

HOW IS EXERCISE GOOD FOR THE HEART?

- If you are not restricted because of cardiovascular or joint problems, you can practice sports such as walking, cycling.

- When you have joint problems, you can choose water sports. Being active in water reduces the body's burden on joints by about half. Swimming, water walking, water aerobics are excellent alternatives to land sports.

- Not forgetting sports that train muscles and flexibility, such as yoga, light exercise. Yoga helps ensure flexible joints and exercises muscle groups. Resistance training with light weights (1kg) can help muscles regularly work, avoiding muscle atrophy and muscle loss.
