More and more people like to exercise because it brings excellent health benefits. However, many expected reasons caused unexpected injuries. Let's find out in this article!

Anyone can get injured while playing sports, but some factors can increase the risk of injury, including:

  • Practicing with incorrect techniques

  • Exercising too hard

  • Changing exercise intensity too quickly

  • Running or jumping on hard surfaces

  • Wearing shoes that don't provide adequate arch support

In addition, other factors include: playing the same sport year-round, using inappropriate equipment, having a previous injury, having special anatomical features or poor flexibility.

In some cases, a history of using drugs, such as fluoroquinolones, a class of antibiotics approved to treat or prevent certain bacterial infections, also increases the rate of injury.

Understanding the causes of injury will help you limit incidents as well as prevent complications in the future.

In addition, when exercising, if you notice signs of injury such as pain, swelling or bruising, inability to move joints normally, joint pain, etc., you should quickly see a Musculoskeletal Doctor at CarePlus for timely treatment.
