About 2 months ago, there was an outbreak in the US. During this outbreak, it is mainly among children who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 and have started school. According to worldwide statistics, MIS-C occurs within 6 weeks of Covid-19 infection, causing damage to many organs with a rate of less than 1% of the total number of children infected with Covid-19.

Therefore, if a child has been infected with Covid-19 within 6 weeks and has the following symptoms, parents need to take the child to the doctor soon to detect complications on time.

SIGNS NEED TO TRACK MIS-LIKE

  • Fever of 38C or higher, within 3 consecutive days, with 1 of the following signs:
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms: vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea
  • Nervous: headache, dizziness
  • Rash
  • Red eyes
  • Red tongue, red lips
  • Swollen hands and feet
  • Neck lymph nodes

In the immediate future, instead of worrying about information related to Covid-19 vaccines for children, parents should take good care of and care about their children’s health by being fully vaccinated. Other vaccines according to the schedule of immunizations and periodic health checks for children, combining good nutrition and healthy physical activity, so that children are healthy enough to overcome all diseases, not only COVID-19.
