Children mental health consultation for parents

When a child is in the counseling journey, the support and involvement of parents are essential to ensure the effectiveness of the process. To ensure the child receive consistent support both at CarePlus and at home, parents may need additional information and guidance from psychological professionals. 

Depending on the parents' needs, meetings with a psychological specialist can take place after about 3 to 5 individual sessions between the child and the psychological specialist at CarePlus. The schedule and structure of the consultation sessions for parents can be flexibly adjusted according to the parents' needs. During the session, parents will receive information about the counseling process, along with strategies and techniques to support the child at home. 

Depending on the child’s consent and other factors, the child may participate in the counseling session with the parents or not. The goal of the consultation sessions for parents is to create a safe and open space where parents can discuss specific issues and needs regarding their child.
