Adolescence, a period marked by significant physical and biological changes, is further complicated by a multitude of environmental pressures. These pressures can stem from family expectations regarding academics and future goals, the demanding and competitive nature of schoolwork, and the complex dynamics of social interactions with peers – all of which can contribute to their mental health.

These pressures can stem from family expectations regarding academics and future goals, the demanding and competitive nature of schoolwork, and the complex dynamics of social interactions with peers – all of which can contribute to their mental health.
A UNICEF report has indicated that 1 in 7 adolescents are diagnosed with mental health disorders. This impacts their ability to learn, participate in social activities, and may lead to more severe psychological issues like depression, anxiety, eating disorders, insomnia, or self-harm.
