Art therapy is a blend of psychological counseling and visual art creation. Through the creative process in a safe and supportive environment, individuals can explore and enhance their mental health.
The simple truth is that every person is an artist, and the art that we create is the story of our life.

WHAT IS ART THERAPY?
Art therapy is a blend of psychological counseling and visual art creation. Through the creative process in a safe and supportive environment, individuals can explore and enhance their mental health.
Art therapy serves as a means of expressing what words cannot. By interacting with various materials and art tools, clients can explore, understand, and resolve internal conflicts. With the guidance and support of an art therapist, clients can develop self-awareness and build self-confidence.
DO YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DRAW OR BE GOOD AT DRAWING TO PARTICIPATE IN ART THERAPY?
Everyone is an artist because each of us creates our own "painting" called "The Story of Our Life." This means that how the "painting" looks is entirely up to us.
However, you do not need to be a skilled artist or know how to draw to participate in art therapy. The goal of the therapy is psychological growth and the expression of "The Story of Our Life" through creativity, not the creation of artistic masterpieces.
DOES AN ART THERAPY SESSION ONLY INVOLVE DRAWING?
Visual arts used in art therapy include, but are not limited to, drawing with charcoal, pencils, watercolor, crayons, collage, storytelling through pictures, clay modeling, creating with fabric and yarn, assembling and arranging 3D objects, and using recycled materials for art.
In an art therapy session, you might not always use art tools. Sometimes you might select an image from a set prepared by the therapist and discuss it, or you might spend several sessions deeply exploring and discussing a specific artwork you created.
WHO IS ART THERAPY FOR?
Art therapy is suitable for everyone, from young children to individuals in their 80s, as a companion in exploring their mind and nurturing their spirit. Art therapy is also proven to be effective in addressing common psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, and conflicts in important relationships.
Clients might seek art therapy for mental health support when they:
Find it difficult to express themselves with words.
Are children who do not yet have the language to express complex emotions.
Are teenagers who are reluctant to communicate or engage in conversation.
Believe that art can support their psychological well-being.
Have an interest in creative activities.
