Vaginitis

This is the most common disease in postpartum women. Typical symptoms are bad gas with bad smell. The examination will reveal a large red, swollen vaginal mucosa. The patient may experience itching, discomfort and pain during sex. If not be treated early, it can lead to many other dangerous gynecological diseases.

Metritis

Lower abdominal pain is one of the symptoms of metritis.

Metritis is a common disease in postpartum women. The main reason is the delivery tools are not sterile. The common symptoms are poor appetite, insomnia, high fever, abdominal pain, gas damage, sometimes bloody.

If the disease is not treated promptly, the infection will spread, make it difficult for the next pregnancy. More dangerous is causing miscarriage, premature birth in subsequent pregnancies, leading to infertility.

Fallopian tube inflammation

Fallopian tube inflammation is a dangerous complication after giving birth. If vaginal lesions and infections are not treated promptly it will thrive. It’ll spread to the ovaries and cause ovarian inflammation, ovarian obstruction. The common symptoms are adnexitis, abdominal pain, menstrual cramps, gas, etc.

Prolapse

During pregnancy, the mother's uterus gradually grows in size so that there is enough space for the fetus. After birth, the uterus will shrink but cannot return to its original size. Meanwhile, the upper ends of the cervix will have a ligament. If the ligament becomes loose due to some action, it will not be able to lift the anal muscle and cause the cervix to fall.

Uterine prolapse has many degrees. If the disease is mild, the uterus remains in the vaginal canal. If the disease is severe, the entire uterus falls outside the vagina. At that time, the uterus is susceptible to inflammation, even removed because it is unable to contract on its own.

How to prevent gynecological diseases after giving birth

Clean the genital area clean

Daily hygiene helps prevent gynecological diseases. The cleanliness of the genital area is essential to prevent gynecological diseases. After giving birth, a lot of fluid is produced, so women need to use tampons and change the dressing regularly to avoid infection.

Avoid early sex

Having sex when the genitals are not fully restored can cause the wound to become infected, increasing the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. According to obstetricians and gynecologists, you should only have sex again after you are completely healthy. For women giving birth normally, the time for the body to fully recover is 6-8 weeks. However, if the fluid is still present and the health is poor, you should still abstain from having sex. For women who give birth by cesarean section, it's best to have sex after 3 months.

Increase resistance to prevent gynecological diseases after giving birth

Provide adequate nutrients helping mothers improve resistance to prevent gynecological diseases. The mother’s diet should be full of fiber, foods rich in zinc, vitamin C, etc.

Pay attention to clothes after giving birth

The mother should choose loose clothes to avoid affecting the wound after giving birth. Underwear should choose absorbent cotton material, comfortable. Mom needs to wash underwear carefully, change it often, and not wear wet clothes.

MASKED HYPERTENSION
Masked hypertension refers to a condition where a patient’s blood pressure (BP) appears normal (below 140/90 mmHg) when measured in a clinical setting but exceeds the threshold of 135/85 mmHg when measured outside the clinic, such as at home or with ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) over 24 hours. The concern with masked hypertension is that it often goes unnoticed, yet it poses significant health risks. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications such as kidney failure, vision loss, heart failure, and an increased risk of stroke.
