Dr John Huang graduated with honours from the University of Glasgow, U.K. and has 18 years of clinical experience. After training in internal medicine and obtaining membership in the Royal College of Physicians, he embarked upon radiology specialist training and obtained fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2003.
While at the Singapore General Hospital, he was awarded a HMDP (Health Manpower Development plan) fellowship in cardiac CT and MRI at Emory University, Atlanta, U.S.A.
During this time he was also a visiting consultant to the National Heart Centre and a clinical tutor for the National University Hospital. He was also an adjunct instructor for the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, a role for which he received an Outstanding Educator award. He continues to be involved in the post-graduate training of radiologists at the Singapore General Hospital.
Musculoskeletal Imaging
Dr Stanley is originally from Dublin where he qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in June 1991.
In 1995, after completing his internship and medical rotations in Ireland, Dr Stanley was appointed to the Northern Deanery Specialist Registrar Training Programme in Diagnostic Radiology in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. He was conferred with the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 1999 and subsequently awarded his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST). The final nine months of his specialist training were dedicated to Musculoskeletal imaging.
Dr Stanley has worked in Singapore since January 2001, initially based at NUH where he was Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Director of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging prior to commencing private practice in 2007.
Dr Stanley’s subspecialist interest is in Musculoskeletal imaging with particular emphasis on MRI and Ultrasound. He was awarded the HMDP Fellowship in 2004 and was visiting Fellow in Musculoskeletal Imaging at University of California San Diego.
Neuroradiology | Head & Neck Imaging
Dr Yeh Ing Berne is a consultant radiologist who is experienced in all imaging modalities with subspecialties in neuroradiology and head and neck imaging. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and was conferred Fellowship in the Royal College of Radiologists, London, UK, in 2003. He also completed a Neuroradiology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, USA, and has been an accredited specialist with the Specialist Medical Council since 2005.
Dr Yeh was previously Senior Consultant Radiologist at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, where he was a member of the pioneer team involved in starting up the hospital. He also served as Associate Program Director for the ACGME-I (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, International) radiology residency programme in the National University Health System cluster, and as a Clinical Senior Lecturer teaching medical undergraduates in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
In the field of research, Dr Yeh was previously appointed to the prestigious Scientific Review Panel of the NMRC, MOH (National Medical Research Council, Ministry of Health), and remains a member of the NMRC Local Review Panel for competitive grants.
Musculoskeletal Imaging
Dr Louise Gartner is an experienced Radiologist with over 25 years of experience and a special interest in Musculoskeletal Imaging. She started her medical career in 1998 in the United Kingdom and was most recently practising at the National University Hospital (NUH) Singapore as the Head of the Musculoskeletal Division (Radiology), and a member of a team of musculoskeletal radiologists providing MRI, Ultrasound and CT service across a diverse range of cases including sports medicine, musculoskeletal tumours, general orthopaedics, reconstructive spinal imaging and rheumatology.
She graduated from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in 1998 (MBBS BSc), and undertook her postgraduate medical training on the South West Thames rotation in London, where she obtained her membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2003. Her general radiology training was on the North West Thames Programme in Diagnostic Radiology, with further specialist experience in musculoskeletal imaging gained at Chapel Allerton Leeds, Chelsea and Westminster and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore. She obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2006 and was awarded her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2010.
Dr Gartner is also an experienced speaker at local and regional conferences and has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching throughout her career. She was a physician faculty member for the NUHS Diagnostic Residency Programme, an affiliate member of the National University Cancer Institute of Singapore and an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Neuroradiology (Adult & Pediatric) | Head & Neck Imaging | Spine | Neuro-Oncology | Oncology | Breast Imaging
Dr June Chong has over 25 years of experience as an American Board Certified Consultant Radiologist, with special interests in Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Imaging.
After attaining her medical degree (MBBS) in Singapore, she went on to pursue a residency training programme in Diagnostic Radiology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA, receiving her Diploma in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in 1996, also serving as a Chief Resident responsible for the management of all residents and administration of the residency programme.
She continued to do a Fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA, subspecialising in Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Imaging, under the mentorship of renowned radiologists Dr Scott W. Atlas and Dr Peter M. Som. She attained the Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology/Head and Neck Imaging by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in 1998.
While in the USA, she had a visiting fellowship in Pediatric Neuroradiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 1998, and then went on to serve as a Consultant Radiologist and Advanced Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.
Upon her return to Singapore, she joined the Diagnostic Radiology Department of National University of Singapore as an Assistant Professor. She was a Consultant Radiologist at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging in the National University Hospital from 1999 to 2004, serving also as Chief section of Neuroradiology.
