WHO recommends that each person should consume less than 5 grams of salt/person/day, equivalent to a teaspoon. Excess salt can cause high blood pressure, which leads to stroke, coronary artery disease, and heart failure.

However, Vietnamese currently consume 9.4g of salt/day (nearly 2 times higher). That is why cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in our country. Hypertension and stroke are increasing at an alarming rate.

In 2010, it was estimated that 1,65 million people died from cardiovascular disease, believed to be eating too much salt.

Let's reduce salt to have a healthy heart, prevent high blood pressure & stroke.
